EMT here. We use mostly Littmann classics on our rigs, but I found early on that I have trouble hearing blood pressures in a moving ambulance and through thicker clothing. Invested in this and I'm never looking back. Leaps and bounds better than what I used for school, and a noticeable improvement over our (still fairly nice) rig scopes. Plus the rainbow with black tubing looks great!

Hi, can you tell the difference between Littmann classic IV, and Littmann master cardiology

I don't like the new headset, it makes people with big heads, look even bigger! The previous classic II headset was angled down more. Besides that, its a good improvement.

Good information but please ditch the stupid "music". So loud was difficult to actually hear you speak.

This is a great resource to use. Your step by step approach make it easier to understand it. Towards the end of your video though the background music was a bit loud creating difficulty to hear your concluding instruction. Other than that your video is well done.

……I got lost immediately. I just wanted to get a digital read one but they seem to be wildly inaccurate according to the reviews on Amazon. Anyone have a recommendation for a good, accurate digital readout blood pressure monitor for those like me who cannot follow this even after watching 5 times??? I think it’s obvious I am not in healthcare lol.

I bought this one for my friend as a congratulations gift for passing the TEAS exam. Got her name engraved in it and a matching nameplate. I farm but my mom was a nurse so I’m not TOTALLY oblivious to these sorts of things. I really hope I made a good choice because I wanted to get her something she’ll use and something that’ll last. I mean it’s too late cuz I already put the order in but any nurses who would be willing to give me their opinion, your input would be greatly appreciated!

Where can I get one of these cases?

We were taught to watch for the bounce and that first one counts as systolic.. the last bounce is the diastolic.. very easy.. pump to 180 to 200 on elderly and 150/160 for most people. The "woosh" is neat to hear but the dial is a very clear bounce then tapers off. Generally only need a stethoscope to confirm if something is questionable which can happen with some patients.

The cardiology one costs 500 in my country 😮

My company U.S Renal Care is giving me one of these for free for my christmas gift so excited to get this and next year i will be getting the classic III.

Somebody please find a solution to cleaning white stethoscope tubing! I’m a nursing student and want to buy a white one so bad, but all the nurses I work with stay don’t do it because they stain and can’t be fixed once stained. It’s so frustrating that companies even make white tubing knowing there isn’t a solution to this or even finding and offering one to their buyers!! Ugh.

Thank You so much for your informative and concise video. I have been talking blood pressure readings for over 20 years but just wanted to make sure I was doing it correctly.

My lab instructor has us use the brachial artery to check when the systolic disappears .. every video I’ve seen on UA-cam is different . Also for the bulb open and closed part .. it depends which side you have the dial on. If you have it to the right , closed is all the way to the right. (Righty tighty) but if it’s the way you held it then it’s going to be backwards . Can also depend which hand you are pumping it up with.
